Jan Constantine, Queen of Embroidered Cushions, has only gone and published another book. I know. And the good news is, in between scratching my mosquito bites, I’ve got hold of a copy to give to one lucky HomeShoppingSpy reader…

Love Stitching is full of decorative appliqué and hand-embroidery projects from Jan, featuring some of her best-selling designs for cushions, throws, wall hangings, aprons and bags.

While her first book (Heirloom Embroidery) focussed on traditional embroidery, Love Stitching takes a more modern approach, with bright colours and strong shapes in a series of graphic, bold designs. I like the anchor cushion project best:

To win Love Stitchingsimply leave a comment on this post including your email address and we’ll pick a name out of the (hand-embroidered) hat at 6pm on Thursday 4th August. There are some helpful Terms and Conditions, here. (In case you’re not feeling lucky, it’s published by Jacqui Small and costs £20. You can buy it here.) – Ellie

Jan Constantine‘s latest designs have just been revealed at the Pulse show. It’s a fabulous collection of cushions, wall hangings, throws, lavender hearts and bags all embellished with the icons and architecture of London.

The new products will be available from Jan Constantine‘s website and stockist shops in August. I love the red London bus cushion – it would look fantastic on my sofa! – Ellie

Graham & Green is celebrating its 35th birthday this year by releasing a range of limited edition products featuring the tropical lovebirds design shown below. The Graham family has worked in collaboration with some of the UK’s top homeware designers to produce this new birthday collection, including Petra Boase (mugs), Jan Constantine (cushions), Big Tomato (ceramics), and Poppy Treffry (textiles). We’re told to expect images of these limited edition pieces in the next few weeks, so we’ll post them here asap. – Ellie

Pretty Plumo cushion

February 17, 2009

I’ve just seen the new spring/summer collection from Plumo and had to share this gorgeous British Isles cushion with you. It’s £98 and reminds me of a Jan Constantine piece. It’s at the top of my wish list! Ellie
