HOT SHOP: Sarah Raven’s Kitchen & Garden

April 28, 2011

Oh, if only I was ‘chill-axing’ (groan) in a deck chair today, outside a rustic shepherd’s hut, bunting draped in the trees, lunch bubbling away over an open fire, an ice cold gin in my hand…

The sad reality is that I’m sitting in a cold London office, with cold coffee, a mouth ulther and deadlines a-plenty. But there are things to smile about: The four-day weekend, Bonjela, and Sarah Raven’s lovely shop. Don’t miss the exclusive Thornback and Peel deck chairs with chrysanthemum and beetroot designs, the old-school campfire kit for cooking outside, or the vintage-style wooden picnic crates (all photographed beautifully by Jonathan Buckley)…

I really love this massive ‘magnificent’ 25 litre water carrier – great for a camping trip. Or fill it with Pimms for a wedding party…? It’s hand-painted stainless steel:

Elsewhere, there are more treasures to be had. Enamel tableware, wind-breaks, Toast-style sarongs, Moroccan tea glasses, real confetti – take a look.

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend. – Ellie
